Aesop - hwyl

the forest on your skin

Aesop's latest perfume Hwyl (launched in 2017) is a charming and woody mixture of spice, smoke and sensuality. Hwyl is a Welsh word that means "a stirring feeling of emotional motivation and energy". The smell (or its simple packaging) reminds me of Japan.
The perfume opens with herbal fragrances and culminates in deep woody shades. Its base note remains on the skin for a long time.

Perfume type: Eau de Parfum
Key ingredients: Cypress, Frankinsence, Vetiver
